Kingsley Urges Issue-Based Campaigns for 2027 Elections

Engr. Yakubu Mohammed Kingsley, the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), cautioned against personal attacks and character assassination in political campaigns as the 2027 general elections approach. His statement, released in Abuja on Sunday, followed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lifting the ban on campaigns.

Kingsley stressed that campaigns should focus on presenting clear, practical, and credible policies to address Nigeria's challenges. He reiterated the importance of issue-based, peaceful campaigns guided by mutual respect, urging candidates to prioritize national unity over personal interests.

Kingsley is currently contesting the May 25, 2026 primary election results that nominated former Governor Donald Duke of Cross River as the PRP's presidential candidate. He asserted that national unity is essential for lasting peace and development, urging Nigerians to reject divisive tactics based on religion or ethnicity.
