Lawal Predicts Tinubu's Victory in 2027 if Rigged

Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, commented on the upcoming 2027 presidential elections, asserting that Bola Tinubu remains a formidable political figure who would win if the elections are manipulated. Lawal made these remarks during an appearance on Channels Television, shortly after announcing his resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He indicated that he has decided to step away from partisan politics due to growing frustrations with the political environment in Nigeria, which he no longer finds appealing. Lawal explicitly stated that he would not support Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and expressed a desire to disengage from political activities entirely.

He emphasized that Tinubu's influence and experience would make it difficult for any challenger, including Atiku Abubakar, to face him in a rigged election scenario.
