Over 220,000 Pupils Sit for LASUBEB 2026 Placement Test

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) conducted the 2026 primary six placement test for 220,131 pupils seeking admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) on the specified date. The test took place across 622 centres in Lagos State, with LASUBEB Chairman Dr. Hakeem Shittu monitoring the examination.

He emphasized that the test is designed to assess pupils' academic performance, ensuring that only those who meet the required standards are promoted to the next level. Pupils who do not meet the standards will remain in primary school.

Dr. Shittu highlighted the board's commitment to inclusive education, stating that all candidates, including those with special needs, were adequately supported during the examination. He visited several schools, including Agidingbi Primary School and St. Peter’s Anglican Nursery School, and received positive feedback from parents, such as Mrs. Queen Uwaya, who praised the organization and coordination of the test.
