LASUBEB Conducts 2026 Placement Test for 220,131 Pupils

On Tuesday, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) conducted the 2026 primary six placement test for 220,131 pupils seeking admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS one) across 622 centres in Lagos State. Dr.

Hakeem Shittu, the chairman of LASUBEB, monitored the examination and stated that the test aims to assess pupils' academic performance before their transition to junior secondary schools. He highlighted that only candidates who meet the required standards would be promoted, while those who do not will remain in primary school.

Shittu noted the importance of distinguishing between pupils ready for secondary education and those needing additional support. He praised the smooth conduct of the exercise, mentioning that examination materials arrived early and the process was orderly.

The chairman reaffirmed the state's commitment to inclusive education, ensuring that all candidates, including those with special needs, were adequately supported during the examination. Parents, including Mrs.
