3,625 Candidates Sit FCT Science Placement Exam in Abuja

The Education Resource Centre (ERC) of the FCT Education Secretariat conducted a Science Placement Examination for 3,625 candidates seeking admission into six Science and Technical Schools in Abuja. The examination took place at designated centres across the Territory, reflecting the FCT Administration's commitment to enhancing science and technical education.

Dr Neemat Abdulrahim, the Director of the ERC, oversaw the examination, ensuring it was orderly and well-coordinated. She acknowledged the support of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for ongoing renovations of public school facilities, which improved examination conditions.

The ERC's efforts included consolidating examination centres from over 16 to fewer locations, facilitating better monitoring. Candidates expressed enthusiasm about the examination, viewing admission as a vital step towards careers in fields like Medicine and Engineering.

The six schools involved are Government Science and Technical College, Area 3, Garki; Government Science Secondary School, Maitama; Government Science Secondary School, Abaji; Government Girls Science Secondary School, Kuje; Government Science and Technical College, Kwali; and Government Science Secondary School, Bwari.
