Four Boko Haram Collaborators Arrested in Yobe, Borno

Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, under Operation Hadin Kai, arrested four suspected collaborators of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Yobe and Borno states during separate intelligence-led operations. The Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, announced these arrests in a statement on Tuesday.

On August 3, troops from the 159 Battalion, Sector 2, conducted a cordon-and-search operation in Geidam, Yobe State, based on credible intelligence, leading to the arrest of two suspected terrorist collaborators. Preliminary investigations revealed that these suspects allegedly supplied hard drugs and logistics to Boko Haram fighters.

In a separate operation on the same day, troops from Sector 3 Garrison and the 242 Reconnaissance Battalion arrested two suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers in Monguno, Borno State. The suspects reportedly confessed to supplying food items and other materials to ISWAP fighters in Kwatan Dowoshi village, Kukawa Local Government Area.
