Two Terrorism Suspects Arrested in Yobe Market Raid

On Sunday, the spokesman for the military operation, Mohammed Goni, announced the arrest of two suspects, Muhammadu Sani, 32, from Mainahari village in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, and Buba Umaru, 40, from Garin Jauro in Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State. The arrests were made following credible intelligence regarding the suspects' activities linked to terrorism and cattle rustling.

During the raid, troops recovered three locally fabricated AK-47 rifles, one locally made pistol, assorted ammunition, and four mobile phones believed to be associated with the suspects' criminal activities. The suspects are currently in military custody for further investigation to determine their involvement in kidnapping and related crimes.

Goni reiterated the military's commitment to denying terrorists and criminal elements freedom of action in the North East and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
