Five Dead in Kano State Fire Incidents in June

In June, Kano State recorded 30 fire incidents, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, according to the monthly operational report from the Kano State Fire Service. The report, signed by the Public Relations Officer Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, detailed that the service conducted seven rescue operations across 44 local government areas during this period.

The incidents caused property damage estimated at N120.45 million, while properties valued at N481.8 million were saved due to timely firefighting interventions. Alhaji Sani Ana, the director of the Kano State Fire Service, urged residents to exercise caution regarding fire safety and to ensure that flames are completely extinguished to prevent further outbreaks.

He also advised parents and guardians to keep children away from puddles, ponds, and uncovered wells to reduce drowning incidents, particularly among young people.
