Five Die in Kano Fire Incidents; Property Loss at N120.4M

In June, the Kano State Fire Service responded to 30 fire incidents, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and the destruction of properties valued at N120.4 million. The agency, led by Director Alhaji Sani Ana, reported that they managed to save properties worth N481.8 million during this period.

Additionally, the service conducted seven rescue operations, including three successful rescues from various emergencies, although some were due to false alarms. The public relations officer, Saminu Abdullahi, emphasized the importance of exercising caution when handling fire to prevent outbreaks.

Alhaji Sani Ana also appealed to parents and guardians to closely monitor children to prevent drowning incidents, particularly near puddles, ponds, and rivers. The Kano State Fire Service reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property through prompt emergency responses and public safety awareness.
