GOC Babalola Commissions Upgraded 55 Signals Brigade HQ

On Friday, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division Nigerian Army, commissioned the newly remodeled and fully furnished Headquarters of the 55 Signals Brigade located in Victoria Island, Lagos. He urged commanders within the Nigerian Army to undertake projects that foster enduring legacies and enhance operational efficiency.

The upgraded complex aligns with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu’s “Soldier First” philosophy, emphasizing personnel welfare through improved infrastructure. The project features a remodeled Brigade Commander’s Office, a modern Orderly Room, and upgraded administrative facilities aimed at boosting professionalism and operational readiness.

Major General Babalola commended Brigadier General CO Iyere for his vision in transforming the Brigade Headquarters. He stressed the importance of maintaining the new facilities and highlighted that leadership is measured by the legacies left behind.

Other military leaders, including Major General NC Ugbo (rtd) and Major General ST Shafaru, praised the initiative for its role in enhancing personnel welfare and operational effectiveness.
