Al-Mustapha Denies Amachree's Claims on Abacha's Death

Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd.), who served as the Chief Security Officer to the late General Sani Abacha, has dismissed allegations made by Mr. Dennis Amachree, a former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), concerning the circumstances of Abacha's death.

In Amachree's book, ‘DSS @40: My journey behind the shield’, he claims that Abacha died during an intimate affair at the presidential villa in Abuja at around 4:05 am, with a lady present. Al-Mustapha, speaking to journalists in Kaduna, labeled these claims as false, suggesting that Amachree was influenced by others to write them.

He asserted that he possesses CCTV footage that contradicts Amachree's account and urged the public to ignore what he termed as lies against someone who cannot defend themselves. Al-Mustapha emphasized the inappropriateness of making false statements about deceased individuals.
