Abia State Compensates Teachers in Hard-to-Reach Areas to Boost Education Sector

Abia State government has approved compensation for teachers serving in difficult-to-access areas, aiming to enhance the education sector. The initiative, part of ongoing reforms, involves increasing teacher recruitment, ensuring regular payments, and providing training to improve the learning environment.

Okei Kanu, the State Commissioner, highlighted a significant 100% increase in school enrollment from July to October, attributing it to new curricula and policy measures. Governor Alex Otti's administration has been successful in implementing these reforms, emphasizing the importance of free education programs.
