Abia Chief Magistrate's Car Stolen Outside Court

The Abia State Police Command has initiated a probe following the theft of a black Toyota Corolla, model 2008, belonging to Chief Magistrate Mr. Ngozi Pearl Lekwa.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 9:00 AM when Mr. Lekwa parked his vehicle outside the court premises along Finbarr Road before proceeding to his office.

Upon returning around noon, he discovered that the vehicle was missing. A friend later informed him that the car was seen being driven away at high speed by an unidentified man.

Mr. Lekwa clarified that he had not authorized anyone to use the vehicle.

He had previously ordered the steering lock for two vehicles as a security measure, but the second vehicle had not yet arrived. The police spokesperson, DSP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the ongoing investigation and urged the public to report any sightings of the vehicle to assist in tracking down the suspect.
