Abia PDP Calls for Rejection of APC in 2027 Elections

On Thursday, the Abia State caretaker committee of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), chaired by Ikpegbu Emeka, held a press conference in Umuahia urging voters to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Emeka criticized the APC for endorsing hardship and stagnation in the state, attributing the current underdevelopment and mismanagement to the party's leadership.

He emphasized that the people of Abia should not be deceived again and must remain vigilant to ensure progress. The committee called on political leaders across party lines to rise above partisan interests and unite to defend democracy.

Emeka also reassured PDP members of the party's readiness for the elections, asserting that they would field credible candidates. He described the APC's rule as a monumental failure that has inflicted hardship on citizens, leading to economic decline and increased insecurity.

The PDP urged the people of Abia to discern the threats posed by the APC and to work collaboratively to resist any attempts to destabilize the political landscape.
