Abia APC Leaders Unite to Resolve Leadership Crisis

Former political office holders in Abia State, who served from 1999 to 2023, are taking steps to address a leadership crisis within the Abia chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Key figures, including Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, have expressed concerns over the ongoing leadership tussle, which they believe could threaten the party's electoral fortunes in the upcoming 2027 elections.

A communiqué issued by a technical committee composed of these former officials urges party leaders to cease destructive infighting and focus on unity. The committee, chaired by Professor C.B.

Agbazue, emphasizes the importance of mutual respect and collaboration among party members to ensure a successful outcome in the gubernatorial primaries. They reaffirm their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election campaign and stress the need for a cohesive strategy to navigate the political landscape in Abia State.
