Accord Party Protests Following Abduction in Osun

On Thursday, two members of the Accord Party were abducted in Ilesa, Osun State, allegedly by hoodlums. A video surfaced showing a woman pleading for her son’s release, claiming the abductors fired gunshots and were affiliated with the APC.

In response, Accord Party members staged a peaceful protest, demanding the victims' immediate release and calling on security agencies to prevent further incidents. The protest took place in the Otapete area of Ilesa, with participants carrying placards accusing APC members of being involved in the abduction.

Abiodun Ojelabi, spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, confirmed the abduction and stated that the victims were in police custody to aid in the investigation. The APC's governorship campaign council accused the Accord Party of inciting violence and attempting to tarnish their image.

As of the report, attempts to reach Accord Party spokesperson Oladel Bamiji for comments were unsuccessful.
