Adamawa Governor Fintiri Declares Mourning for Tukur

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri declared a three-day mourning period across the state following the death of Alhaji Bamanga Mohammed Tukur, the former Governor of Gongola State and former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Fintiri announced this on social media, expressing deep sadness over Tukur's passing and recognizing his significant contributions to Adamawa State and Nigeria.

During the mourning period, all government flags in Adamawa will be flown at half-mast. Fintiri extended condolences to Tukur's family, associates, and the residents of Adamawa, sharing in their grief.

Tukur, who passed away at the age of 90, was remembered by his family for his lifetime of public service and community development. They expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received and stated that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced later.

Tukur was a prominent political figure, having served as the national chairman of the PDP from March 2012 to January 2014.
