Taraba State Supports Establishment of Army 10 Division

The Taraba State Government has pledged its support for the establishment of the newly created Nigerian Army 10 Division in Jalingo, offering land and critical infrastructure necessary for its take-off. This commitment was made during a visit on Monday by a delegation from the Army Headquarters, Abuja, led by Major General I.

Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, Secretary to the Taraba State Government and representative of Governor Agbu Kefas, expressed the state’s readiness to collaborate with military authorities to ensure the division's immediate establishment. Kataps emphasized the importance of protecting lives and property and stated that the state has sufficient land for military formations in Karim-Lamido, Bali, Wukari, and Gembu.

The Army delegation's visit included assessing existing facilities and discussing collaboration to facilitate the division's operations. The establishment of the 10 Division is expected to enhance security and stability in Taraba and improve the state's capacity to address security challenges.
