Dino Melaye Accuses INEC of APC Bias in Protest

Dino Melaye, a former Kogi West senator and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has publicly criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), claiming it has become a department of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Melaye accused INEC of misinterpreting a court order, which he believes has led to a loss of public confidence in the electoral body.

He stated that either the president should remove the officials or they should resign themselves. Melaye's comments were made in response to actions taken by INEC that he argues show partiality towards the APC.

This criticism coincided with a protest held by ADC chieftains, including interim national chairman David Mark, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, at the INEC headquarters, where they demanded the delisting of the party.
