ADC Aspirant Bashar Geda Joins APC in Kebbi State

Alhaji Bashar Geda, a former aspirant for the House of Representatives under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State on Saturday. The defection included thousands of supporters and was marked by a reception led by APC leaders, including Alhaji Shehu Idri, the APC state chairman.

Idri described Geda's move as a significant boost for the party, assuring him of equal opportunities and full participation in party affairs. Geda's decision to leave the ADC was motivated by the developmental achievements of Governor Nasir Idri across the state, which he believes align with the APC's contributions to the administration's success.

Geda had previously contested for the House of Representatives seat representing Bunza, Birnin Kebbi, and Kalgo federal constituency. Governor Nasir Idri expressed appreciation for Geda's decision and assured fair treatment within the APC.

Geda's father, Alhaji Abubakar Geda, also pledged the family's support for Governor Idri's second-term ambitions.
