ADC Suspends Oyegun, Osunbor Over Anti-Party Activities

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the suspension of several members, including former governors John Odigi Oyegun and Osareimen Osunbor, along with former senator Yisa Braimah and others, due to alleged anti-party activities. This decision was made public on April 15, 2026, following a meeting of the faction's state executive committee in Edo State.

The suspended members are accused of disobeying party leadership, engaging in activities contrary to party interests, and creating parallel structures within the party that could lead to confusion and division. The state chairman, Kennedi Odion, emphasized that the suspended members are part of a group not recognized by the party's constitution and are barred from attending meetings or representing the party.

They will receive formal communication outlining the allegations and will be invited to appear before the state disciplinary committee to defend themselves. The suspension takes immediate effect, and the affected individuals have the right to appeal within 14 days.
