ADC Urges Tinubu to Address Kidnapping Crisis in Nigeria

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to engage more with the realities faced by ordinary Nigerians. Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Abubakar expressed confusion over Tinubu's assertion that “prosperity is on the horizon” and questioned whether this referred to Nigeria or another country.

He highlighted the struggles of various groups, including market women, civil servants, manufacturers, and farming communities affected by violence and kidnappings. Abubakar criticized the disconnect between the government and the populace, stating that the President's remarks reflect a reality that does not align with the experiences of many Nigerians.

He pointed out that after more than three years in office, the Tinubu administration should not continue to blame its predecessors for ongoing challenges, as citizens are more interested in solutions than excuses.
