Adeleke Calls for Visa Ban on APC Leaders Over Violence

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has demanded a visa ban for All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, alleging their involvement in political violence and killings, particularly in light of recent attacks that resulted in the deaths of five Accord Party members and injuries to 15 others. Adeleke's call for economic sanctions is aimed at deterring further violence and was made during a meeting with a British diplomatic team led by senior political advisor Wale Adebajo.

He emphasized the need for peace and transparency in the electoral process ahead of the August 15th governorship election. In response, Kola Olabisi, the APC spokesperson, accused Adeleke of spreading misinformation and attempting to manipulate the British government to maintain power against the people's wishes.

Olabisi also claimed that Adeleke's administration is incompetent and has failed to address political violence in the state.
