Governor Adeleke Unharmed as Podium Collapses at Rally

On Wednesday, during a rally in Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke narrowly escaped injury when the podium he was on collapsed. The incident occurred approximately 30 seconds into a video obtained, which shows the moment the podium caved in while music was being performed.

Other notable attendees included Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, Speaker of the House of Assembly Adebayo Egbedun, and spokesperson for the Imol Campaign Council Pelumi Olajengbesi. Although the collapse disrupted the proceedings, the program resumed later after security personnel evacuated the rubble.

The event was part of the inauguration of the Imol canvass for the Obokun and Oriade federal constituencies. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported, and Deputy Governor Oladel Bamiji described the incident as not serious, confirming that the event continued smoothly afterward.
