Ajagungbade, Adeleke's Ally, Shot Dead in Osun

Ajagungbade, known as Emir in political circles and an ally of Governor Ademola Adeleke, was shot dead in Ile-Ife while attending a meeting at a motor park. He was reportedly involved in a struggle for control of motor parks in Osun State against the current leader, Nurudeen Alowonle.

His assassination has led to heightened tensions in the region. In response, Governor Adeleke has instructed the Osun State Police Command to track and arrest all individuals involved in the killing.

A statement from his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, revealed that the governor ordered the immediate evacuation of the motor parks by conflicting groups and announced the establishment of a Park Management System. Governor Adeleke emphasized the need for law and order, promising that all culprits would face justice.

He called for public calm and directed security agencies to restore normalcy and maintain order across the state.
