Ado Doguwa Critiques FG's Response to Nigeria's Insecurity

Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a prominent member of the House of Representatives and the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his frustration over Nigeria's persistent insecurity during a recent session. He called for a temporary shutdown of the National Assembly to confront the deepening crisis and emphasized the need for extraordinary measures.

Doguwa described the horrific scale of killings, kidnappings, and banditry affecting communities across Nigeria, asserting that his remarks were not politically motivated but stemmed from a deep sense of responsibility. He criticized the government's response to insecurity, stating it falls far short of what the situation demands.

Doguwa acknowledged the efforts of federal security agencies but highlighted that the current measures are inadequate. He raised concerns about the safety of ordinary citizens, questioning how Nigerians can expect peace by the 2027 elections amid rampant violence, including bandit attacks and mass abductions.
