AECAF Congratulates Isa and Wunti as WEC Nigeria Leaders

The Association of Energy Correspondents, Abuja (AECAF) has congratulated Mr Abdulrazaq Isa and Mr Bala Wunti on their appointments as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the World Energy Council (WEC) Nigeria. AECAF described these appointments as historic and well-deserved in a letter signed by Chairman Mr John Ofikhenua.

Isa, co-founder and Chairman of Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited, is recognized for his contributions to indigenous refining and industrial development. Wunti, a former Chief Health, Safety and Environment Officer of NNPC Ltd, brings over three decades of experience in the energy sector, with expertise in strategy and policy formulation.

Nigeria's return to the World Energy Council as the newest Member Committee is seen as a significant step for the country to engage in global energy discussions. AECAF commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership in this matter, emphasizing the potential for Nigeria to attract investment and promote technological innovation in the energy sector.
