Moses Olubo Returns to Nigeria After Epic Motorcycle Journey

Moses Olubo, the former Nigeria squash No. 1, is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday after completing an extraordinary transcontinental adventure on a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. His journey spanned the United States, Canada, Iceland, Scandinavia, and Western Europe, before crossing the Sahara and navigating the Fouta Jallon Highlands.

A hero’s welcome is planned for him at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, with a meet-and-greet scheduled for 2pm today. Organisers have referred to Olubo as a “3-Continent Adventurer,” emphasizing the determination required for such a demanding expedition.

His arrival time has been uncertain due to challenges faced while riding through Ghana on an unregistered motorcycle under the ECOWAS system. As of Tuesday, Olubo was working to finalize his exit from Ghana, with the final stretch to Lagos expected to be straightforward.

His adventure has generated excitement among friends and sports enthusiasts, who are encouraged to attend the reception.
