AHF Launches HIV/TB Media Reporting Project for Journalists

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Nigeria has opened applications for journalists to participate in its 2026 HIV & TB Media Reporting Project, which aims to strengthen ethical, evidence-based, and impactful coverage of HIV and tuberculosis in Nigeria. The project, themed “Amplify the Response: Ethical & Impactful Reporting on HIV & TB,” will take place from September to October 2026 and is open to journalists from Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Cross River, Kogi, and Nasarawa states.

AHF Nigeria emphasizes the media's critical role in addressing challenges such as stigma, misinformation, and funding gaps that hinder progress towards an AIDS-free generation. Selected journalists will receive mentoring on HIV/TB science and will be required to produce two in-depth feature or investigative reports.

The project includes a full-day virtual orientation, modest reporting grants, and access to AHF-supported facilities. Participants will also receive certificates, and top stories may be featured on AHF’s global platforms.

Applicants must have at least two years of professional journalism experience.
