Umo Eno Inspects Akwa Ibom Convention Centre Progress

On Thursday, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno reaffirmed his administration's commitment to tourism development during an unscheduled inspection of the Ibom International Convention Centre located in the heart of Uyo. The visit coincided with the inauguration of international flight operations at Victor Attah International Airport, which marked the first official flight to Ghana.

Eno initiated a scheduled attendance at the inauguration of an 11-kilometer rural road project in Edebom, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area. During the inspection of the convention arena, which includes the Ibom International Convention Centre and Ibom International Hotel, Eno expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, noting that the arena would strengthen the state's tourism potential.

He highlighted that the convention centre can accommodate 5,000 guests and includes various facilities. Eno commended President Bola Tinubu for implementing economic reforms that improve access to funds for sub-national governments to execute development projects, which he believes will positively impact Nigeria's economy.
