AIG Jimoh Promises Enhanced Security for Lagos, Ogun

Olorundare Jimoh, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) for Zone 2 Command, assured residents of Lagos and Ogun states of ongoing efforts to enhance security. This assurance was made during his reception of the “Outstanding Excellence in Security Leadership Award 2026” from Kehinde Adewole, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Integrity Youth Alliance, at the command headquarters in Onikan, Lagos.

The award recognized Jimoh's leadership and commitment to accountability-driven policing, citing achievements such as the recovery of over 115 stolen vehicles and improved security during festive periods. Jimoh emphasized the importance of community cooperation in crime prevention and urged the public to report police misconduct.

He noted that his experience as Lagos Commissioner of Police provided valuable insights into the security challenges faced by both states. Jimoh pledged to implement intelligence-led measures to protect critical infrastructure and enhance public safety, while also maintaining engagement with communities and stakeholders.
