NCAA Clarifies Air France Water Protest Video Not Recent

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) clarified that a viral video showing a passenger on an Air France flight aggressively demanding water is not recent. The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NCAA, Michael Achimugu, stated that their preliminary findings indicate that the incident did not occur within the timeframe suggested online.

The video, which circulated on social media, does not correspond to any recent Air France flights, as the airline did not operate an Abuja-bound flight on the day in question. The video shows a black passenger arguing with a white female flight attendant over water, with other passengers remaining calm.

The NCAA emphasized that the incident likely took place outside Nigeria, and they are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the footage. Air France denied involvement in the recent incident captured in the video.
