Aiyedatiwa Advocates for Women's Political Inclusion in Ondo

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa called for increased inclusion of women in political and elective positions during the launch of the 774 Explode Project in Akure on Wednesday. Represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, Aiyedatiwa highlighted the importance of women in national development, stating that his administration operates an all-gender inclusive government.

He noted that women are essential for nurturing families, preserving values, and shaping future generations. Aiyedatiwa advocated for intentional actions to overcome cultural stereotypes and systemic barriers that hinder women's full potential in politics.

He commended the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Mary Idele, for initiating the project, which aims to empower women and enhance their political participation. Idele echoed the need for more women in leadership roles, asserting that the future of democracy relies on the inclusion of young women in various political capacities.
