Ondo State Government Enhances Power and Agriculture

The Ondo State Government, led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has intensified efforts to enhance power supply, boost agricultural production, and attract industrial investments as part of its economic growth strategy over the past 18 months. Chief Press Secretary Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan outlined these initiatives, which are part of the government's "Our EASE" agenda aimed at improving living standards and business operations.

The administration has approved a $1.6 million hydropower project and a 7.5-megawatt gas-fired turbine project to address power challenges. Additionally, the government is distributing transformers and implementing solar and metering programs to improve electricity supply.

In agriculture, over N10 billion has been invested, with initiatives like the Ondo State Cocoa Revolution and support for farmers. The administration is also pursuing major industrial investments in the Ondo Deep Sea Port, refinery, Free Trade Zone, and fertiliser plant to position the state as a significant industrial hub.
