Akwa Ibom Governor Presents N1.39 Trillion Budget for 2026 Fiscal Year

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State presented a N1.39 trillion budget for 2026 to the State House of Assembly, emphasizing growth and development. The budget allocates 25% to recurrent expenditure and 75% to capital expenditure, with a significant portion earmarked for infrastructure projects.

The Governor highlighted revenue projections of N1.146 trillion and urged swift consideration by the Assembly. Speaker Rt Hon Udeme Otong praised the budget as crucial for democratic governance, while Rt Hon Otobong Bob commended the Governor's visionary fiscal plan.

The budget aims to uplift the people of Akwa Ibom through strategic projects and efficient resource allocation.
