Akwa Ibom State Releases ₦50bn for Infrastructure Projects and Education Upgrades

The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the immediate release of ₦50 billion to contractors for ongoing infrastructure projects across the state. Dr.

Aniekan Umanah, during a press briefing, highlighted efforts to fast-track infrastructure delivery, upgrade the state college to a university, improve healthcare services, and enhance the transport sector. Governor Udom Emmanuel is overseeing various projects, including the construction of a compressed natural gas terminal and the development of a model secondary school.

The state is also focusing on tourism and aviation projects.
