Akwa Ibom Sets September 2026 for Aris Palm Resort Launch

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has set a target date of September 2026 for the commissioning of the Aris Palm Resort, a project aimed at expanding the state's tourism economy. During an inspection of the resort along Domin Utuk Avenue in Uyo, Governor Eno expressed confidence that the construction pace would ensure the facility is completed on schedule.

The project is part of a strategic investment plan to create jobs and attract private investment, positioning Akwa Ibom as a leading leisure investment destination in Nigeria. Eno urged contractors to maintain their current work pace despite the rainy season, stressing the importance of completing the project.

Faysal Harb, Managing Director of Bulletin Construction Company, confirmed that the resort is entering its final phase, with operations expected to commence in August. The Aris Palm Resort, which will occupy a 73-hectare site, is anticipated to serve as a significant catalyst for tourism and hospitality investment, stimulating growth in related sectors of the state's economy.
