Alleged Coup Plot Against President Tinubu Exposed

Investigative details presented before the Federal High Court in Abuja have unveiled a plot to violently overthrow President Bola Tinubu's administration. The suspects planned coordinated attacks on key locations, including the Presidential Villa, Radio House, and military command centers.

Mr. Usman was assigned to direct the assault on the Presidential Villa, having conducted preliminary surveys with insider Police Inspector Ahmed Ibrahim. The conspirators considered a power blackout at the Villa to disrupt security but were cautioned against it by electrician Zekeri Umoru.

The group aimed to recruit personnel from Villa workers, soldiers, and State Security Service officers. Major Abdulkarim Ibrahim was tasked with securing the Armed Forces Headquarters and reading the overthrow broadcast, while Lieutenant-Colonel Shamsuddeen Bappah was reassigned to the 102 Battalion.

Other military personnel were designated to isolate key commanders, including the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff.
