The firm claims to have obtained extensive records from the FBI, including a sworn declaration submitted to a U.S. federal court on August 28, 2026, which reportedly confirms that the court acknowledged a criminal investigation involving Tinubu.

The firm stated, “The FBI states under oath that the court has already determined that a criminal investigation of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu was officially acknowledged.” It also referenced the FBI's rationale for withholding certain records under law-enforcement exemptions, indicating that the records were compiled in connection with investigations into multiple individuals for drug trafficking crimes. The firm released parts of the document to counter claims made that Tinubu was merely protecting his privacy and had never been criminally investigated, asserting that such claims are false.
