Ambrose Alli University Cancels Microbiology Exam Over Jubilation

Ambrose Alli University (AAU), located in Ekpoma, cancelled the MCB 414 (Anti-Microbial Agents and Chemotherapy) examination for final-year students in the Department of Microbiology due to alleged wild jubilation after the exam. This decision came just two days after the university's Registrar, Mrs Oluwayomi O.

Agbebaku, issued a statement on September 16, 2026, prohibiting such celebrations following the completion of examinations. The statement warned students against any acts of wild jubilation that could lead to illegal behavior and criminal activities, emphasizing that such celebrations were banned both on and off campus.

Despite this warning, students reportedly flouted the directive after completing their exam on September 18, 2026. In response, the university management, through another statement signed by Agbebaku, announced the cancellation of the examination, stating that this action was intended to deter future violations and that stricter penalties would be imposed on any department that disregards the directive in the future.
