Ambrose Alli University Bans Wild Jubilation for Graduates

Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State, has announced a ban on wild jubilation by graduating students following their final examinations. The university's management, led by Registrar Mrs Oluwayomi O.

Agbebaku, issued a statement on September 16, 2026, warning that any student engaging in such activities could face cancellation of their examinations. The statement, titled ‘Prohibition of Wild Jubilation as Second Semester Examinations for 2025/2026 Academic Session Ends’, defines wild jubilation as including vehicle parades, pouring of water, sand, and drinks, alcohol consumption, and other disruptive behaviors.

The university has reiterated that the existing Senate policy against such celebrations remains in effect and emphasized that any violations would result in sanctions as per university laws. Graduating students are encouraged to celebrate their achievements during the upcoming convocation ceremony instead.
