Anambra SSG Clarifies Role in Alleged Fake Agency

Chiamaka Nnake, the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, issued a clarification regarding her involvement with a purported federal agency linked to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Nnake was nominated as the State Focal Person for Anambra State to organize a Made-in-Nigeria fair, scheduled for December 2-5, 2026.

Following her nomination, focal persons from all 36 states participated in discussions via a WhatsApp group about the agency's activities. However, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission discovered that the agency was allegedly fake, leading Nnake to state that the Anambra State Government had been misled.

In her statement titled “Clarification on the ‘Made-in-Nigeria Agency’ and my role as State Focal Person,” she emphasized that her knowledge and involvement were limited to official interactions regarding the fair and denied any connection to other activities attributed to the agency.
