Teacher Surrenders After Allegedly Flogging Boy to Death

Mr. Dim Eber, a 47-year-old teacher, has surrendered to the Anambra State Police Command after being accused of flogging a 12-year-old boy to death at a school in Adazi Enu, Anaocha Local Government Area.

The incident prompted the police to launch a manhunt for Eber, who voluntarily reported to the Neni police station. The boy reportedly sustained injuries during the flogging, which led to his death.

Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed that Eber is currently in police custody and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for ongoing investigations. The police command has expressed gratitude to community leaders and stakeholders in Adazi Ani for their support, which contributed to Eber's surrender.

They have urged the public to remain calm and refrain from taking the law into their own hands while assuring that justice will be served.
