Anambra Youths Demand Probe into Killing of Chinyeaka Ik

On Friday, youths in Mgbakwu, Awka North Local Government Area, Anambra State, protested the killing of 26-year-old Chinyeaka Ik, allegedly by the state's Special Anti-Tout Squad (SASA). The incident, reported to have occurred around 8 PM on Thursday, ignited outrage among residents, particularly the youth, who accused the enforcement agency of repeated harassment and extrajudicial actions.

Chinyeaka, who was recently married and expecting his first child next month, was reportedly shot while attempting to flee from SASA operatives. The protesters marched to the Anambra State Governor's house, carrying the deceased's remains and placards demanding an end to violence and intimidation by security forces.
