Anglican Church Elects Four New Bishops in Port Harcourt

The Anglican Church of Nigeria concluded its episcopal synod in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where four new bishops were elected. The announcement was made by Rev.

Henri Ndukuba, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria. The newly elected bishops are Ven.

Dr. Godwin Tersoo for the Makurdi Diocese, Ven.

Dr. Kingslei Ogbonda for the Uyo Diocese, Ven.

Dr. Julius Oyediran for the Ekiti Diocese, and Ven.

Dr. Olayemi Fatusi for the Awori Diocese.

The election followed a period of prayer and deliberation among the members of the episcopal synod. The consecration of the newly elected bishops is scheduled to take place during the General Synod of the Church of Nigeria, which will be held in Remo Diocese in September.

The Primate urged the church members to pray for the bishops-elect, asking God to grant them wisdom, strength, good health, humility, and grace to faithfully discharge their responsibilities in their episcopal offices.
