APC Clears All House of Reps Aspirants for 2026 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that all aspirants for the House of Representatives in Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, Enugu, and Rivers states have been cleared to participate in the upcoming shadow elections. These elections are scheduled for May 15, 2026, with primary elections for Senate tickets set for May 18, and House of Assembly elections on May 20.

The presidential primaries will culminate on May 23, 2026. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC has been actively involved in the screening process, which concluded last Sunday.

Sources within the party headquarters indicated that there was significant pressure from political opponents to disqualify certain aspirants; however, no aspirants were disqualified. The party is committed to ensuring that the primary elections proceed as planned.

Additionally, it was revealed that state governors will have a significant role in determining the mode of primaries to ensure a peaceful acceptance of candidates.
