APC Backs INEC Timetable for 2027 Elections as Fair

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo State chapter has expressed confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) timetable for the 2027 elections, describing it as realistic and fair to all political parties. Steve Otaloro, the state director of media and public affairs, stated that the timetable reflects administrative foresight and promotes balanced electoral processes.

He highlighted the importance of reforms to enhance transparency and strengthen internal democracy within political parties. Otaloro dismissed allegations from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that the new timetable favors President Bola Tinubu and emphasized that INEC operates within clearly defined constitutional parameters.

He asserted that the APC does not require institutional manipulation to secure electoral victories, noting that the government's performance will ultimately determine democratic outcomes. Otaloro called on all political parties to respect INEC's independence and comply with electoral regulations, promoting a transparent electoral process that combines verified governance performance with electoral integrity.
