APC Confirms Presidential Campaign Council List Remains

The All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat has dismissed as false media reports suggesting that President Bola Tinubu ordered the withdrawal of the list of members of his Presidential Campaign Council, which was released on Saturday. Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, clarified in a telephone interview with Nigerian Tribune that the list, published by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga, remains intact.

Morka stated, "The list is as it was published. Have you seen a revised list?

Nothing has changed." Opposition parties, particularly the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have criticized the list, alleging it includes individuals facing corruption allegations, such as former Minister Betta Edu and former NSITF Chairperson Ngozi Olojeme. Osa Director of the NDC expressed concerns about the implications of these appointments for governance and public funds.

In contrast, Honourable Hillard Eta, former National Vice Chairman of the APC, defended the list, arguing that allegations do not equate to convictions.
