APC Primary Election Results Face Legal Challenge in Kwara

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election for the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency in Kwara State is under legal scrutiny following allegations of numerical discrepancies in the election results. Court documents filed in Suit No.

FHC/IL/CS/107/2026, Hussein Afolabi Esq. v. APC & 2 Others, reveal that the candidate, Mohammed Mamman, reportedly received 21,676 votes in Patigi Local Government Area, while the total number of voters recorded was only 21,315, resulting in a discrepancy of 361 votes.

The Plaintiff, Hussein Afolabi, Esq., argues that these figures are mathematically impossible and undermine the credibility of the results. Additionally, the cumulative votes for all aspirants on the same result sheet total 27,408, further complicating the situation.

The result sheet was signed by Adebara Kolapo Abdullahi, the Patigi Local Government Collation Officer, and other committee members. Afolabi challenges the validity of the primary election, asserting that no official results were declared before the APC submitted Mamman's name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 elections.
