APC Urges Adeleke to Stop Election Rigging Allegations

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to remarks made by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who accused President Bola Tinubu of not adequately addressing alleged plans by the APC to rig the upcoming August 15 off-season governorship election. At a campaign rally in Sabo, Osogbo, Adeleke emphasized that his Accord Party would only accept the results of a free and fair election, recalling historical electoral injustices.

In response, APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru dismissed Adeleke's allegations as unfounded, asserting that the governor's performance has not impressed the electorate. Basiru questioned the basis of Adeleke's claims and criticized his governance, particularly regarding social infrastructure and unemployment in Osun State.

He advised Adeleke to focus on his party's strengths rather than resorting to what he termed "cheap blackmail." The APC is confident in the growing popularity of its candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the election.
